On Tuesday 24 May 2016, BridgeClimb welcomed the sales team from Lindt to scale the famous arches of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Setting out to find an activity which would encourage team bonding and cooperation, Lindt’s Event Organiser, Linda Hristovska, turned to BridgeClimb.
Our Business Development Manager dedicated to the Corporate Market, Leigh Weller, worked directly with Linda and a supporting Event Coordinator. Leigh works closely with all corporate bookings to ensure that the event objectives are understood and then exceeded by BridgeClimb.
“The organisation of our team building day has been seamless from start to finish. The team at BridgeClimb really were accommodating and catered the experience to be Lindt-specific” – Linda Hristovska, Lindt.
The Climb Experience
Lindt chose the BridgeClimb Express for their team, which is the fastest trip to the summit of the Bridge and was developed with the time-poor corporate customer in mind.
The BridgeClimb Express travels along the inner arch to the summit, enabling Climbers to be surrounded by the mighty steel of the Bridge before reaching the summit for 360 degree views of Sydney.
“The view from the top is incredible. The team really bonded during the experience and will undoubtedly return to the office with renewed motivation and inspiration.” – John O’Connell, Lindt.
The Lindt team gathered for a team photo at the summit before descending back to the BridgeClimb Base; with the experience taking 2.25 hours in total.
Challenges and Outcomes
Part of Lindt’s brief was to undertake a sales meeting in a private space prior to their Climb. On the particular day of their Climb, BridgeClimb was hosting a 1,200 strong international corporate group who were already utilising this space. As a solution, BridgeClimb converted an alternative space, typically used for internal training, for Lindt to conduct their meeting.
